The MIDCOM story began when it opened its first office as a NOKIA distributor in Rwanda in 2004. From there on, it expanded exponentially year on year with current presence and dominance in 17 countries. MiDCOM identified the gap and capitalized on the opportunity with agility and weaved a holistic network connecting the market with the source through seamless infrastructure - more than 200, 000 sq. ft. of warehouse space spanning 7 countries, extensive retail store coverage, over 600 priority dealerships and volume sales reaching to the tune of 25 million handsets in 2012 coupled with excellence in after sales – all to deliver the promise of excellence.
A structure and model designed around end consumer satisfaction, the conceptual idea was to provide the market with original NOKIA handsets at the most competitive prices. The company delivered this promise consistently year on year resulting in the company bagging the sole distributorship for NOKIA in most countries of operation.
Among the 8 Nokia awards which came as often as each alternate year, the company’s commitment to quality delivery and persistent efforts made it resonate as a brand with the end consumer – quite expectedly it was awarded the 'Super Brand' status.
As the company continues to grow, it remains grounded on its founding principle while continually adapting to the changing dynamics of the market to maintain its strong hold and continue its leadership by transcending customer expectations. We are there to stay.
