Nokia is the main and the sole principle of the MiDCOM Group. The telecommunication vertical of the group started with the distributorship of Nokia in Rwanda in the year 2004. The association and partnership between the two companies stands 10 years tall wherein both brands have added tremendous value and have grown from strength to strength symbiotically. From one country in 2004, MiDCOM has spread its distribution network to 17 countries and gained sole distributorship in 10 countries of its operation.
Throughout the journey both the companies have persevered to turn Africa into one of the biggest markets for Nokia handsets. MiDCOM has built the infrastructure over the years for seamless, from warehouses to personnel, to telecom tie ups and much more for the seamless availability making the company a true initiator of growth. The company has managed to manifold numbers in Africa with an unmatched pace and has been recognized as an outstanding partner by Nokia, amongst all its distributors’ globally, 6 times in a ten year time span.
The vision of the company remains to astutely identify potential markets and aggressively move ahead and dominate the distribution and sustain on the current platform and strategise to expand further.
